Proposed refurbishment and new works to existing Industrial Development – Africa Diatomite Limited – Gilgil
This is a facility to expand the growing African Diatomite Industries Limited (ADIL) and the project involved the following warehouses [the factory sheds, the general hardware and stores, the metal workshop] all in structural steel framework, an office block, a cafeteria, changing rooms and ablution block, an underground water tank and a steel structure of a 90 M3 elevated water tank and a facility for onsite sanitation for residential premises, a gate house and a boundary wall, access road, drive ways and parking and other associated civil works. The project is currently in construction stage. MultiScope carried out detailed structural design, civil works which comprised of 2 km long and 6.0 m wide paved access road, parking, footpaths, storm water drainage, water supply, sewer reticulation and disposal.
The total construction cost was Kshs 174 million.
