Proposed Laboratory/Tuition Block Phase III for Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology

MultiScope Consulting Engineers were appointed as the civil/structural engineer of Phase II of the university’s development. This scope of the project comprised two-level lecture theatre with lecture rooms above it and other four storey lecture rooms. The long span (20 m) classrooms above the lecture rooms were broken down by introducing reinforced concrete columns in tension that were anchored on the top supporting beam. The civil works were limited to draining the facilities to the adjacent mains.

The project cost was Kshs 305 million.
