Proposed Paeditric and Burns Centre at KNH – [Kenyatta National Hospital]

The project consists of a 9 storey (including 2 basement levels) Pediatrics and Burns Center – Kenyatta National Hospital in Upper Hill Nairobi.

This is a state of art facility with specialised laboratories for tests and analysis. Floor and worktop surfaces design and finishes.

The diagnostic lab was designed as a highly sensitive space for any hospital. Laboratories that stand up to harsh chemicals and biocides without compromising hygiene and health standards. Epoxy floor coating systems were recommended to help achieve the clean-room-like environment that patients and staff depend on.

Epoxy floor finishes were highly recommended because they offer resistance to puncturing and impact; ability to withstand high foot and cart traffic and mobile modular furniture and high comprehensive strength to support heavy machinery and equipment.

The cost is estimated at Kshs 2.9 billion.
